RATES

Individual Lessons

$45 per hour

$25 per 1/2 Hour

(4)- 1 Hour Lessons = $155

(5)- 1/2 Hour Lessons = $110

Buddy Rates

2 Students per hour = $30 per person

3 Students per hour = $25 per person

On-Course Instruction - Playing Lessons

9 holes of golf with 4 holes of instruction (approx. 2 hours) = $100 per person

GOLF INSTRUCTORS

Lori DeSimone

Lori began her career as a junior in Western Massachusetts and later competed as the number one player on the Boston College Ladies Golf Team. Lori finished her collegiate career in the top 10 of the East Coast Athletic Conference while graduating with academic honors. Lori moved to Myrtle Beach in 1997 and continued her career as a top ranked amateur in the Carolinas. During that time, Lori was working at Arcadian Shores Golf Club and in 1999, Lori relinquished her amateur status to compete on the Futures Golf Tour. At the same time, she began her professional teaching career at the Resort Golf Academy. While at the Resort Golf Academy, Lori was instrumental in developing and coordinating Ladies Instructional Programs.

Joan Port

Joan began playing golf when she was five years old. Growing up near a small private club in Glen Rock, Pennsylvannia, she competed in and won many amateur events, including the Maryland State amateur. She has been a golf instructor for 12 years. Beginning her career at the Country Club of Maryland and then relocating to Orlando, Florida. While in Orlando, she became an assistant golf professional at the exclusive Isleworth Country Club. There she perfected her teaching skills first under Mike Shannon and then Gregor Jamieson. Also, she helped with the clinics at the David Leadbetter Academy which was located at Lake Nona. She taught many celebrities spouses and children while at Isleworth and organized and ran the ladies golf association and the junior golf program. She moved to South Carolina in 1999 and became an assistant golf professional responsible for the ladies golf association and implementing and expanding the junior golf program at Bald Head Island Club for six years prior to working at Lori's Golf Shoppe.

Gary Port

Gary started playing golf when he was nine years old. Growing up in Staten Island, New York, he was captain and MVP of his high school golf team which won the city championship. Gary has been in the golf business for the past 21 years. He owned and operated a custom club and repair shop for 15 years. Gary came to the Myrtle Beach area in 2000. He became an assistant golf professional at Bay Tree Golf Plantation. He then went on to become the head teaching and fitting golf professional at Bald Head Island Club. He also ran the mens and ladies clinics as well as implementing and expanding the junior golf program. He continued teaching at Bald Head Island Club for six years prior to working at Lori's Golf Shoppe
